Lack of awareness among school students.

Introduce

In this 21st century, all school students must be aware of real-world problems, how to tackle them, and a few problem solving techniques. Schools alone cannot provide a proper platform to inculcate the intricate subtleties of STEM subjects:science”,technology”,engineering”,maths;digital and transferable skills”,like coordination”,problem solving and communication”,etc. Hence, it is necessary to have tie-ups with industries and working communities to give students a hands-on experience on these skills.

Why is this needed?

The very 1st question that would come to our mind is that why is all this knowledge important for school students? The reason is that when the time comes when students have to enroll themselves in colleges, many of them have no clue about what they are going to do in life, what they want to do as their career. Hence, they are left with no choice other than following the stereotypes prevalent in the society.They choose their career because someone has suggested them that this particular field is in demand today and has a lot of money gains”,even if they don’t know whether they really want to work in that particular field.

Governments must keep a record of where collaborations are happening, the problems faced, how successful they are, and who lacks these facilities.
