Letter of motivation

Engineering has provided a new dimension to my thoughts and ideas. The perception of engineering has taught me that knowledge and innovation have no limits.

I drew my inspiration towards Mechanical from my father who used to work with me on various mini-projects during my vacations. He was the one who introduced me to tools like Spanner, Allen keys, Wrench, etc. I also saw my father repairing things like radio and car which triggered in me a desire to know more about what happens inside these machines. When I finished school I choose to pursue my career in Mechanical, because of my natural ability in technology and my liking for the Mechanical field.

In the November of 2018, I graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. During my 4 years in Manipal, I was part of Manipal Academy of Higher Education’s FSAE team where I worked as the Technical Head of the team and was in the vehicle dynamics team. I was enraptured by the intricacies of a racecar, for example, a change of as small as 0.5mm in length of rear toe linkage can have a very large effect on the car’s performance and handling characteristics. After working relentlessly and watching something I built not only run but also win, made me choose the automotive field for my future. Owing to my interest in the automotive field I joined Schnell Motorsports as Testing and simulation engineer. I created a 4 tire Vehicle Model on MATLAB and got to work on tuning the vehicle setup.
