The purpose of a man
Lesson 1: Purpose
The first lesson any man should learn is purpose one may ask the question of why purpose before leadership. The answer to this is very much simple if an individual doesn’t understand who they are or whose they are they would never be able to live there best life. If we haven’t discovered our purpose and mission in this life then its safe to say we haven’t started living yet. For the beginning of our creation, God had a plan and purpose for our life. Hence the reason he said in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you”,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God wants us all to live a successful life but most time instead of living to accomplish our own life, we try to fulfill someone else purpose.
When a man starts living up to his full purpose everything in his life changes. A man who discovers his purpose stays in his lane. One might ask the question of how does one stay in his lane. The key to understanding purpose is the key to God’s heart having a strong foundation in prayer. Through prayer and reading our bible God reveals our God-given destiny. Great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve Jeremiah 32: 19. When a man discovers his purpose he becomes a man.
As men, we must stand up to fight for our purpose and destiny. We live in a generational while men see it fit to forfeit their seed by rejecting them. Part of the purpose of a man is to be a father. That’s why in Genesis 1:28 NIV God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Our the beginning of creation God create men to be leaders, kings but they never reach their full potential until they discover there purpose. One of the purposes of manhood is marriage. Evidence to support this can be found in the Bible in Ephesians 5:31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” Even in this passage of scripture, it can be seen from creation God created us with a purpose, which was to be king and ruler of our homes but if we don’t understand our purpose then we cannot understand or values and position. Imagine being in a position as a hiring manager and you have interviewed five prospective employees all educated but there’s only one that has a mindset and willingness to be teachable which one would you select. The one that seems to be teachable right because you know once they have that mindset you can groom them. With God, the same applies when God realize that you found your purpose he could then position to receive what you need and desire. People who find and understand their purpose don’t fight for validation from people. They fight for what they believe in.
The role and purpose of a husband
A husband is first and foremost the head of the home, For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Eph 5:23. Another role of the husband is to be the provider, Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Another role of the husband is to love his wife as Christ Jesus loves the church, For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church.
Rejection does give you the right to reject your seed.
The role of the father
To love (show compassion )- As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. Psalms 103:13 ESV
To discipline -Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him. Proverbs 13:24
To train and guide -Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:4
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 john1:4
Letters to my brothers in this fatherless generation
Growing up black it can be said we are automatically set up for failure but kings I want the remind you that you are great, you are prosperous and most importantly there’s purpose on your life. I know we live in a world where it can be said or seen as being black is some type of curse, but I want to assure you, you’re black, but not cursed. I want you to note this in your struggles there’s a message, in your pain there’s a message and in your tears, there’s a message keep your head up better would come.I remember growing there was always someone that I would have looked up to as a hero but for this generation, there ’s little or none. In this chapter, I will be discussing the various types of black males and tributing those that made a name of themselves.
The black youth from the hood
In today’s society we are faced with two major epidemics pertaining to life in the hood one there are fathers in the home but emotionally absent or fathers not present at all. Now we are faced with children having no one to instill good Godly and kingdom wisdom within them because daddy is gone and mummy have to get out there to make a way for her home. Now, who’s gonna motivate the young black man sixteen years old, don’t know there’s the purpose in his life can’t see a way out of the hood. It seems like gone are the days when pastors and religious leader were the mentors, spiritual fathers, and motivators all we see now is pastors trying to be celebrities and rock stars. Could it be said that the church has failed the youth? If the church fails them I guess I fail them also so my brothers I ask your forgiveness. Some of the black males today turn to like of crime mainly because they don’t have anybody to look up to other than the drug lords down the streets flashing money, cars, and women. They got no one to remind them that they can be lawyers, doctors, politicians, actors, and policemen. All they seem to see that life in the ghetto is nothing more than cancer and that the system is made up for them to either be dead at 16 or uncastrated.
My brothers I want to assure you that you weren’t destined to be failures look at things from a brighter perspective. I want to encourage you a little its not where you at but how you chose to finish even the bible declares I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. You can make it know you weren’t born to become part of the statistics nor be average .Go out there take up the opportunities and be the greatest you that you can be.
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Success is not based on geographical areas
Many base success on geographical areas and that should not be a success is based on hard-working ethics followed by determination, Willingness, and faith. The first question one needs to ask himself or herself what do I do when they tell me no. Do I quit, or fight for the dream when no one else sees it. If your answer is yes you are on your way to success because the No you received shouldn’t be seen as a negative but a positive just as in mathematics we need a positive and a negative sometimes in life we need a negative to bring out the positive in us.
So we might see the current circumstances we are faced with and think it determines our outcome but it don’t our come is base on how hard we work, our faith and determination .look at the bigger picture just as a diamond goes through a process before it looks beautiful and a caterpillar before becoming a butterfly just so God has to take through various stages before we become successful if nothing else stick with you I want you to remember one thing the test is Great but the testimony is GREATER. I know being black from the good life is not easy but sometimes you have to watch things from the positive side what if we use the negative situation and turn it into a positive situation by using these circumstances, not as problems but use it as motivation to get out of it. Your circumstances will never determine who you are. The truth of the matter is we all are unique and all have the abilities in us to make this world a better place to step out and be the king you were destined to be.
Dreaming black boy
Now I will start to talk about the dreaming black boy whose dreams are so big that small-minded people distract him or make it seem that it is impossible. Growing sometimes you really just have to keep your dreams to yourself because sometimes if your faith for your dreams doesn’t match that of others you can be in a lot of trouble, they can talk you out of persuading your dream. I want to encourage you to keep your eyes on the prize and believe in yourself even when nobody else believes in you right down the vision, speak the vision and certainly one day you will be living the vision.
THE Insecure brothers
I remember there was this young I once knew growing up, he came from a dysfunctional blended family where all he saw was abuse. Growing up he didn’t have the world but all he had was his siblings and their love. All he saw was his father abusing his mom and every other man she was with did the same. His father instills fear in his mother that he as a man is king an everything he said must go exactly as he said otherwise she would be beaten very badly. In his mother’s eyes that was the real way, a man shows love to his wife. Both he and his siblings had no relationship with there dad. In every one of his male siblings, the same cycle occurs no relationship with their children and abusive to their wives. Low and behold while everyone was thinking it would have ended with him he ended up the worse.
He was more abusive than anything else. He was not only physically abusive but mentally and emotionally. He will abuse verbally also by comparing her body to that of a stink nasty pig saying he cannot sleep with a pig. He would beat here day in day out and frustrate the living daylight out of her. He would even tell her that the children are not his and he eventually stopped support the children. Since the couple was married he never assisted the wife. He even brought women in the house while his wife was there insulting her in front of them. When a woman is fed up she’s fed up. She eventually found the courage and took her kids up and left. The big mad wolf came back to nothing but an empty house it was then reality struck.I say all this to bring one point across he came to me to beg on his behave but he was still telling me all sort of nasty stuff about his wife and I stopped him and said “be careful what you say about your wife because this is the same woman you’ll have to go back with and at the end of the day this is your wife and your children mother so be careful “ he said that to me “really and truly I know what you are saying is the truth but to be very honest i really don’t care , I just want her back .”I went on and said to him you want a better wife and not a broken one. As men sometimes we do what we see but the first step to manhood is really to have a relationship with God so that we can be the priest we should be to our families. In this scenario, this young man made his insecurities guide him and not the holy ghost. Sometimes many of our insecurities come from soul ties. We need to ensure that our ego’s don’t get a hold of us
Letter to my successful brothers
It is very important that when success finds you, that you try your very best to lend a helping hand to another. Think about it did you reach out there by yourself obviously not it took God grace to instill the vision that’s in you and someone to see the greatness that is in you and help move you to where you really need to be. So as a successful king we must always try to give back to the younger generation especially in these times because if we don’t instill positivity there will be those who will be willing to instill negativity. Ask yourself these two questions.
I’m doing my part to make this world a better place?
What can I do to help develop my nation’s youth?
I firmly believe if we do our part and the government does there part we can have a better country.
I just want to use this opportunity to shoutout all the successful men out there know that this generation is proud of you all keep leading the way for us. Always remember we can achieve more together than apart.
Just to name a few I would like to take this opportunity to shout out Mr. James Riddick for always instilling greatness within me.
