Aversive leadership is the dark side of leadership. The behavior of a leader which violates the organization’s interest is part of aversive leadership. Aversive leadership not only effect the organization but also it effect the employee working under the aversive leader. It effect the mentality of the people working underneath the aversive leader. Aversive leadership causes some serious impact such as work alienation. In work alienation a employee loses all his interest in work and causes low output then the actual demand. Work alienation causes serious impact on a organization and people working in organization. People start to feel pressure due to overload of work and bad behavior of averse leader.

When a group or individual perceive a change occurring as a threat for them they back off from such work and they resist those changes. These changes and work alienation happen due to aversive leadership

Connect with your aversive leader and find the need, interests & concerns of your aversive leader not your . listen, Acknowledge, clarify & explain if you learn to acknowledge his concern than you cool down your aversive leader and built a favorable connection between you and you aversive leader . First thing is connect with your aversive leader through find the need, interests & concerns of your aversive leader not yours. Understand what his top priorities, goals in present year. Don’t start directly telling him what you want, what you think first connect then he automatically polite with you and he want to include your opinions your ideas. Second one is listen, Acknowledge, clarify & explain if you learn to acknowledge his concern than you cool down your aversive leader and built a favorable connection between you and you aversive leader.
