I remember it like it happened yesterday. In my life, I could never imagine how ten seconds of life can leave such thrilling memory which can not be eliminated. That was the moment I encounter the first car accident in my life. I always hear those old sayings. I never really thought one might mean as much to me, or become as realistic as it has become in my life. However, what happened at that time actually proved those words which I think were cliché and taught me a valuable lesson.

It was a beautiful spring day in April 2017. Those days after the college etrance exam were relaxing and joyful. I went shopping and KTV with my friends. When we ended the cheerful day and prepared to go home, it’s already 1 a.m. Because the last bus was gone, we were troubled to go home. At that time, one of my friends suggested that those who has the driver license can ride motorcycle to take us home. We were too tired to think that those who has the driver license didn’t have experience in taking people. We made the decision very quickly and took the road of regret.

At that night, it was very dark and the wind was very strong. I looked at the map on the phone and tell the direction for my driver. However, I found that we were heading the wrong side, my driver turned to look at me and ask me the direction. At that moment, I saw a van ready for pulling out of the roadside. But our scooter still move forward. Next, we were knocked down on road. I still remember that I fell down from the back seat, my mind’s gone blank, as if I was in a bad dream, a really terrible dream. Then I felt my shoulder started hurt and it was like being punched by a professional boxer.

Other essay:   Customer service

“Are you OK?”, my friend kept asking me. I saw that her left and right arms were bruised and still bleeding. But she was very anxious and worried me. The guy from the other vehicle came to us and asked “Are you hurt?” In fear, I responded by shaking my head and answered “I am ok, just a little scared.” In a short distance, I saw a blue and red light came to us, the police arrived. I felt the ache of my shoulder became more and more serious. Finally, the police took us to the hospital. It was my first time to emergency. Doctors and nurses were rushed around, many patients and beds kept in and out. In this chaotic scene, all I worried was my parents. After taking the X-ray, the doctor announced that my clavicle was broken and needed to have an operation.

Time flies, one year passed, my clavicle was cured. But the trauma still forbidden me from riding motorcycle. As long as I saw the cars on the roadside, I will recall this horrible memory. People don’t wish to get involved in car accidents, but people don’t take it seriously until they actually get involved. The scar on my clavicle always reminding me of this lesson.
